If you haven't read the announcement concerning my blogger directory and Life in Photos please read here.
It's a brand new month and I don't know about you but I am so ready for some change! If you have been following my evolve for life project you know that others and I have been working on bettering (aka. evolving) ourselves. Some of my goals are to live a healthier lifestyle and live life in happiness. I am sharing the things that I will doing this month because some of you may be interested in doing some of it as well. Just remember, do things for you not for anyone else. Be happy and live life for you!
The October Unprocessed Challenge by Eating Rules
I saw the information about the pledge passed around on Twitter (I believe it was @InspiredRD that posted it) and I had to see what it was all about. It's really about eating more whole foods. If you know me and have been following this blog, you know that I am not judgmental about food. I believe everyone should eat what they see fit.
The reason I have pledged to this challenge is because I need to get healthier. I need to eat more whole foods and feel motivated about living a healthier lifestyle. I am still going to make myself some sweets every now and again but they are going to be made from natural ingredients and no chemicals, etc. More importantly, I am going to practice portion control which is the other monkey on my back (not a part of the challenge).

30 Day Green Smoothie Challenge by Simple Green Smoothies
I want to give this green smoothie challenge another try because I did not complete it the first time around. I had a lot of gas, yeah, I'm admitting that, and it got to be too much. However, I learned how to control all that by cutting recipes by half, paying attention to the amount of ingredients I am using, etc. For this challenge, you replace one meal with a smoothie. I have chosen to drink my green smoothie at dinnertime since I usually eat cereal or something small. I am looking forward to this very much as well.

30 Day Yoga and Meditation Challenge
This is a self-imposed challenge. I haven't done yoga and meditation in a very long time and it's ridiculous how lazy I've become. I need to get on track, y'all! I need some internal peace and a good stretch!
Other Short Challenges
@lccotter tweeted an article from @jeffgoins about slowing down. There I discovered the Slow Down challenge. Check it out here. Basically, you get a reflection via email for five days. I am definitely loving this challenge. I am currently on day three. I am loving Jeff Goins' website. It's so inspiring.
The next and final challenge is one that I have not started yet but will starting Thursday. (I have a couple of things I need to do and it's going to conflict with this.) This challenge is called The Kitchn Cure by The Kitchn. For this challenge you work on decuttering your kitchen and make it fabulous! Click here for the info!
Hurray for Improvements!
I know it may seem like a lot but in all honesty these are things I should be doing anyway. I may have some struggles with myself (and maybe others) but the important part is that I stay strong and on track. I also realize that I need to give myself time to vent when I get frustrated and be happy when I succeed!
Get ready for all the photos of food!
This October I am shooting for
(And I hope you will shoot for it too)
PS. I did change things around (again) but that's because the template that I had before plus the redirect were acting up so I had to go back to a traditional one. I actually like the simplicity of this. I'm done with all this design stuff. What can I say it's the Gemini in me. Alright! I get it! I mean it. I'll stop already! I know. I know. I GET IT. :) Thanks for your support!
